The Friends GCCS Endowment
A lasting investment in preserving Gillespie County’s country school heritage.
The Friends GCCS Endowment was established in November 2015 under the management of the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country in Kerrville, Texas. The Endowment was created to provide permanent financial support for the Friends’ mission to preserve Gillespie County’s historic country schools and the stories associated with them.
The Endowment is designed to strengthen the organization’s long-term stability and help sustain its work for future generations. Through careful stewardship, these funds support the Friends’ ongoing mission while helping build a stronger foundation for the years ahead.
Rather than using limited funds only for immediate needs, the Endowment allows contributions to be preserved and grown over time, helping ensure that this important work can continue.

All Endowment contributions are publicly acknowledged. Donors will also receive a complimentary Membership-at-Large with the Friends and the organization’s quarterly Chalkboard Newsletter.
